Origins 

The Memory Care Puzzle originated in October, 2022 when Sydney conceptualized a means of improving-rather than simply accepting-degenerative memory loss in those suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia.  As individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia often forget faces, names, places, and/or objects, the Memory Care Puzzle offers an entertaining and active method of recollecting, engaging, and reforming visual associations with meaningful memories.  To many family members or loved ones. Alzheimer's and dementia can seem fixed and daunting, yet the Memory Care Puzzle is a symbol of possibility: it sends a message that loved ones suffering from increased memory loss can retain crucial aspects of their relationships with their loved ones as they put the puzzle pieces of their lives together.  As every piece allows the puzzle-solver to recollect their past, they remain connected to their present with the hopes of making every moment count.  The origins of the Memory Care Puzzle, indeed, are rooted in hope and optimism.
